IntroductionI come fromn a family of Guatemalan immigrants who instilled in me the value of hard work. I initially pursued a psychology degree but discovered my true passion for writing after leading a small team in developing a video game demo based on my original script. In May of this year, I fulfilled my first step in my writing career by earning my MFA in Screenwriting from Califorina State University, Fullerston.

My writing
The aspects of writing that I enjoy the most are world-building and characterization. I love speculating how things function in these larger-than-life worlds while developing captivating character arcs. My preferred genres to write are sci-fi, fantasy, urban fantasy, and superheroes, with a particular fondness for comedy and horror. I often incorporate themes centered around social issues that I or those close to me have experienced into my writing. These themes have inspired and guided me to write stories about young adults or teenagers navigating their way around the world.
Radiant Sun
Under UCR's video game development club, Gamespawn, I led a small team to create a video game demo based on my original script. The team produced a rudimentary demo at the time titled "Silver Sun.” With the completion of the demo, the project under Gamespawn came to an end. However, I have kept the game and will occasionally work on it to finalize and polish the demo further.
